JieMing Pang, 12, born in Tangkou town in Kaiping City, in Guangdong province, was told to give up on her treatment in the early stage of her life.
9 years has passed…
12 years old should be carefree and enjoy their childhood, but for JieMing, she started suffering in pain since 3 years old. This year May, the symptom got worsen abruptly.
In May 2018, JieMing’s family take her to Guangdong Central Hospital emergency, and her health report indicated:
Stage 5 of Chronic Kidney Disease, Uremia.
The only way that can save her is Kidney Transplantation.
For her case, the doctor said that she has to maintain a peritoneum dialysis treatment. Her parents bought the dialyser machine that cost CNY 30,000. Every day after she took a small break after dinner, she has to use the dialyser for her treatment from 8 pm to 6 am in the next morning for all these years. The medication and treatments come at an expensive cost. They already spent all of their saving on her, her parents still need to support the 18 years old daughter to study. All the family income relies on JieMing’s father, YanQiang Pang, with CNY 3,000 monthly wages working in a factory. The medication fee is too costly for her family. JieMing’s mother, YaFeng Zhang said the doctor advised her to arrange a kidney transplantation surgery for JieMing, as she is young and never set foot on the real world. The minimum cost for Kidney Transplant is CNY 500,000. Mrs. Pang said if there is an entrepreneur that can help me with the fee, I will work for them until I pay back all the money.
However, this ruthless disease did not take away the innocence of JieMing. She is a cheerful, optimistic kid, and very mature and strong-willed to confront the illness, that makes everyone feel compassion for her.
Mrs. Pang said she is a good kid even the doctor and other patients said so. JieMing often suffered through intense pain at night when her parents are present, and she would say, “Daddy, give me a hug. I am in pain.” This makes Mr. and Mrs. Pang feel really helpless. Mrs. Pang started sobbing and said “she is an optimistic kid, I always tell her to stay strong, do not cry when you cope with huge difficulty. It will only worsen your health, so start a new day with a smile. If you survive for one day, that means you live a day longer. So do not cry, smiles. ”
JieMing is a gift to her parents, and she brings joy to her classmate at school, everyone likes her in this small town. People always say that she is a dedicated student, a smart, adorable, cheerful kid. She always studies hard and achieves outstanding academic results. It is sad that she has this illness, and hope everyone make a donation, so she can get well soon.
Medical treatments are expensive, JieMing has been fighting for kidney dysplasia for 9 years. The whole family income relies on her father, and it is tough for Pang’s family to support the medication fee.
Please lend a helping hand.
